Last Saturday, Justin attended the 15th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball which raised more than $1.4 million in support of the organization‘s services for low-income and homeless individuals across Los Angeles County.

Justin was accompanied by his daughter, Kaila (19), and he was reunited with his friend and former Grey’s Anatomy co-star, Eric Dane, and his wife Rebecca Gayheart-Dane (she’s the founder and co-chair of the Butterfly Ball).

15th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball – June 11

★ What was largely assumed has now been confirmed. Justin’s Grey’s Anatomy contract was up at the end of season 12, but he has signed a new deal and will be returning for season 13.

Everyone’s back. Days after star Ellen Pompeo closed a new deal to return to Grey’s Anatomy for the upcoming thirteenth season, the other four cast members who had been negotiating new contracts also have signed new deals. That includes Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr. and Kevin McKidd.

There were a total of six Grey’s Anatomy regulars whose contracts were up at the end of Season 12. Of them one, Sara Ramirez opted to depart, while the rest had been expected to come back.

Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy is coming off one of its strongest seasons creatively and ratings-wise. In its recently concluded 12th season, Grey’s Anatomy was ABC’s highest-rated show in key demographics and ranked among television’s top five dramas.

Chambers is repped by Gersh and Anonymous Content. Wilson is with Abrams Artists and Station 3. Pickens Jr. is with Stone Manners Salners and Wright Entertainment. McKidd is with WME.

Part of the reason I probably love watching “Grey’s Anatomy” every week is because of Dr. Karev. Over the past 12 seasons “Grey’s Anatomy” fans have watched him go from a cocky, self-absorbed intern, to the lovable
pediatric surgeon who is now Meredith’s bestie (and basically one of the only original characters that Shonda Rhimes hasn’t managed to kill or write off yet). I mean talk about some serious character development. And while he has his moments where he can be a bit of a jerk, we can’t help but to love Dr. Karev.

P.S. Shonda Rhimes can please not kill this one off?
