It’s still going strong 12 seasons later! Grey’s Anatomy won the 2016 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Network TV Drama! Check out one of the official portraits with the cast that attended the awards:
Left to Right: Jerrika Hinton, Chandra Wilson, Camilla Luddington, Ellen Pompeo (winner of the PCA for Favorite Network TV Actress), James Pickens, Jr., Kelly McCreary, Justin Chambers, Caterina Scorsone, Sarah Drew.
Unfortunately, Justin lost the award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor to Taylor Kinney (Chicago Fire). Regardless of that, congratulations to Justin on his nomination and congratulations to the cast and crew of Grey’s Anatomy for all its success.
There’s a lot to update with between social media and professional pics. I’ll be working on it, so look out for that. 🙂
Right now, check out the moment ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ won the 2016 PCA for Favorite Network TV Drama below.
The mid-season finale (or Winter finale) of Grey’s Anatomy will air next Thursday, November 19, and it promises to bring the drama!
★ In an interview with PEOPLE, Camilla Luddington spoke a bit about the Jo/Alex/Meredith triangle. This is what she had to say:
Meredith and Alex are each other’s people on Grey’s Anatomy, but what does that mean for Jo?
Camilla Luddington, who plays the Grey-Sloan Memorial surgical resident, tells PEOPLE there’s something crucial “completely missing” in Jo’s relationship with Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) – and the fact that he shares such an intense connection with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) could be a problem for her character’s future happiness.
“I’m not sure Alex does a good job of being there for his friend but also letting his girlfriend know that he’s there for her too,” says Luddington, 31.
“I think that at the dinner party, for example, we saw that he had that intuition that something was wrong with Meredith, but it seems to be completely missing for Jo, which I’m not sure what that says,” she continues. “At some point, maybe if they are to move forward and be serious and get married and have kids, that should be addressed.”
The rest of Camilla’s interview can be read at People.com
★ The Grey’s mid-season finale is titled “Things We Lost in the Fire”. Below is the synopsis for the episode, promos from ABC and CTV, and also a sneak peek featuring Alex and Jo.
“Things We Lost In the Fire” – As the rumor mill around the hospital continues to spiral out of control, Grey Sloan Memorial is flooded with injured firefighters from a nearby wildfire. Maggie struggles to keep things with Andrew professional at work; meanwhile, Jo questions Alex’s priorities on the winter finale of “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, November 19 (8:00 – 9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Grey’s Anatomy’s 250th episode aired last Thursday and Variety published an interview with Betsy Beers, who has been the executive producer on Grey’s since the beginning, where she talks about her favorite moments and storylines from the past 250 episodes.
I’m only posting the parts that mention Alex, but The full interview can be read at the link below
First, what are you loving about Season 12?
Everybody is at this amazing crossroads. Meredith is trying to rebuild her life and navigate the sisters; Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is chief; Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) are having a rough go at it; I’m really loving Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers) trying to navigate their relationship; gosh, I want Owen (Kevin McKidd) to be happy; Arizona and Callie are where they are; I’ve got Maggie (Kelly McCreary) sitting there not knowing what the hell to do. I just want to see more and more and more of those situations play out.
Favorite character evolution?
I loved watching what’s happened with the chief because I feel like in a weird way, the chief has gone through personally more change than anybody else — he went from being just the chief to somebody who had this relationship with Meredith’s mother. I mean, the man has children he didn’t know about, he struggled with an addiction problem, he’s worked his way through being the head, he almost died. All of the characters have been through a lot, but I always come back to being rooted with the chief. And I think I’ve also always been really kind of fixated on Alex’s relationships and him finally getting to a place where he can finally have a good relationship with somebody. I’ve always loved Alex because Alex presents this tough and sarcastic [attitude], but there’s this moment early on with Izzie when he gives her a cupcake because he likes her and then he finds out that she actually has a thing for Denny and you can see his whole world fall apart. There’s something about Alex that I find just to be always compelling. I feel like there’s always something going on that you don’t know.
As usual, here are the screencaps from the most recent episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ titled “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?”

The cast of Grey’s Anatomy is holding a contest where two lucky fans will win a 11×15 print of their winning pic signed by the whole cast and will have their winning pic posted on every cast member’s Twitter feed.
Basically, the cast recreated some iconic movie posters in front of a green screen. Fans have to edit the pics to fill in the background. There are two awards:
– The Klein Crown goes to the most accurate recreation of the original movie poster. Every detail counts! Just like in surgery!
– The Bohkee Medal of Honor is for the most creative take on the original image. You can do whatever you’d like to the picture. The sky is the limit! Just keep our faces and bodies intact.
Fans can submit as many entries as they like, but it must be through Twitter and include the hashtag #GA250GreenScreenChallenge. The deadline for the contest is Sunday, October 26th at 8 pm PST. To read more about the contest and see an example for each award, check out this Tumblr with the details: ga250greenscreenchallenge.tumblr.com
For convenience, I added all the tweeted photos to our gallery with the name of the movie poster recreated under each one. The album link is below. Good luck to all participants! 🙂
