Ellen Pompeo directed her first episode of Grey’s Anatomy recently. Her directorial debut is episode 13.18 titled “Be Still, My Soul” and will likely air on March 30.
For now, she posted on Instagram a behind-the-scenes video of her directing and in it we can see Justin in a couple of shots. Check it out:

★ I’ve been forgetting to post about this, but here it is now. Giacomo Gianniotti (Dr. Andrew DeLuca) has once again organized a Grey’s Anatomy Tough Mudder to benefit My Friend’s Place, an organization that assists and inspires homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives.
This year, you can create your own fundraising team and the teams that raise the most funds win prizes. If you don’t want to raise funds, you can also just make a donation. For more details about the fundraising contest, the prizes or to make a donation, go to: https://www.crowdrise.com/greysanatomytoughmudder
Watch this video in which Giacomo explains what the Grey’s Anatomy Tough Mudder is about. The LA Tough Mudder Half will be on Saturday, March 25th and the fundraising contest ends on March 16th at 11:59 pm ET.

★ Alex Karev is back! In the most recent episode, Justin appeared briefly at the very end, so there are only a few screencaps.
I also redid the screencaps from the season 13 premiere because some of the previous ones had ABC promotional ads on them. (Link: Screencaps > 13.01 – Undo)
★ The next episode of Grey’s is entitled “None of Your Business.” Check out the synopsis and the promo below.
“None of Your Business” – Maggie gets a surprise visit from her mother at the hospital. Bailey has to make a difficult decision when one of the attendings refuses to work with Eliza, and Stephanie gets caught up in Owen and Amelia’s personal drama, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network.
Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) gave an interview to Variety where she talked about the Grey’s Anatomy midseason premiere and Alex’s situation. I’m posting only what she had to say about Alex, the full interview can be read at the link.
Variety: In the final scene, Bailey tells Arizona and Jo that Karev took the plea deal and he’s going to jail. Is that actually going to happen, or is there any chance he can turn back?
Jessica: No. I think it’s definitely a ship that has sailed and I think you’re meant to believe that, and now you need to brace yourself for what will happen, now that he’s done that [taken the plea deal].
So, will we see Karev behind bars?
You’re going to have to watch the show! [laughing]
How will Arizona deal with this news about Karev?
I think she’s completely devastated. Between having seen a pretty horrific side of parenting and motherhood [at the prison, earlier in the episode], and now combined with the fact that one of her nearest-and-dearest proteges could be taken away forever, I think it’s as bad as it gets. If he goes to prison, he can’t practice medicine again. I think it’s a pretty sh-tty car ride home.
If Karev does go to jail, will we continue to see him? What does this mean for Justin Chambers on the show?
When you watch the show, you’re going to find out whether or not he really goes and what happens and what could get him out or what could keep him in. You’re going to see it all.
This Thursday, the episode is entitled “Jukebox Hero.” Below is the synopsis for episode and the promo. There’s a sneak peek out and it can be watched HERE.
“Jukebox Hero” – Richard and the attendings set out to make Eliza’s first day at Grey Sloan a bumpy one. Meanwhile, Meredith tries to track down Alex, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network.
