– Before getting to the update, I know the sidebar and page numbers are missing (and likely other things that I’ll come across, eventually). As I mentioned before, JCO was hacked while the site’s host was doing a major update. It’s going to take a while to get everything back to normal, and Fay is on vacation at the moment, so please be patient. And, once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

ABC announced the Primetime fall 2018 schedule and Grey’s Anatomy will continue to air next season on Thursday at 8p.m. with Station 19 following at 9p.m., and then How to Get Away with Murder at 10p.m.

Jessica Capshaw has been taking a stroll down memory lane, and posting highlights of her ten years playing Arizona Robbins. One of the highlights has been working with Justin through the years as Arizona and Alex formed the partnership known as Team Peds. Here is Jessica’s touching tribute to Justin on Instagram.💖 #TeamPedsForever

This guy. Oh my, oh my, this guy…from the instant that we first worked together until the very last he has been a beacon of light. He has a graduate degree in gratitude, faith, friendship, compassion, empathy, humor and fine hats. He makes everyone feel like he’s their biggest fan and never misses the opportunity to give someone a compliment. I have learned infinite life lessons from him and I have loved every moment of working with him. I love the profound and beautiful way that he speaks about loving his wife and their kids. And I really love the character that he has created over the past 14 years. He makes it look easy but I promise you that it isn’t. I haven’t been able to think about not working with him anymore without tearing up and there’s very good reason for that… @officialjustinchambers #teampedsforever #season10

Before I get to Justin’s photos, I just wanted to give an explanation for the site being down over the weekend. The site’s host did a major update, and while that was happening, the site was hacked. Sorry for the inconvenience (🙁), but it’s mostly back up again.

Anyway, it was Mother’s Day this Sunday, and Justin made two Instagram posts dedicated to his beautiful mom, Pam, who he says is “the sweetest mom ever.” ❤ Check them out below.

ETA: Justin posted a thank you message in the comments of his IG post. I added the message after the photos at the bottom of this update, under the IG posts.

Happy Mother’s Day Pam my.

**Edited to add tweets from Justin’s Grey’s co-stars and showrunner.**

Justin received quite a bit of praise for his performance in the most recent episode of Grey’s Anatomy from co-workers and fans. Now TVLine has given him a well-deserved Honorable Mention for “Performer of the Week.” 👏👏 This is what they had to say:

null HONORABLE MENTION | Justin Chambers hit it out of the park in Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy — and not just in that intense batting-cage scene, either. After Alex learned that his schizophrenic mom Helen had stopped cashing his checks because she was fine — better than fine, actually — his relief was tempered by disappointment: Helen didn’t want him around, lest he upset her routine. In a matter of seconds, Chambers deftly took Alex from disbelief to anger born of hurt. As he later unleashed that rage on a bunch of baseballs, explaining to Jo why Helen’s recovery now, when no one needed her anymore, was so infuriating, his portrayer gave the kind of real, raw performance that could only be described as a home run.

Justin’s co-stars, Jessica Capshaw and Camilla Luddington, as well as Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Krista Vernoff, tweeted about the honorable mention. Check out their tweets below.

Lindsay Wagner was outstanding as Helen Karev, and she and Justin played off of each other so well. It really was a great to finally(!) meet Alex’s mom. If you missed it, or want to rewatch, here are most of Justin’s scenes in the episode.

As a throwback and to let new fans of Justin know how cool it is that Lindsay Wagner is playing Alex Karev’s mom in this Thursday’s (tonight!) episode of Grey’s Anatomy, I tweeted this clip of Justin talking about Lindsay.

Justin retweeted the clip and added that it was a dream come true to work with her on Grey’s. So happy for Justin that he got this opportunity to work with Lindsay on the show, and even more so because she plays someone so important for his character.💖

Nayah Damasen, who played Kimmie in several episodes this season, posted another BTS pic from when she was filming episode 14.19 (“Beautiful Dreamer”) with “awesome dude” Justin, and wrote a really sweet caption.

This Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy episode is titled “Fight For Your Mind.” It’s an important one for Alex fans because we’re finally meeting his mom, Helen Karev, played by Lindsay Wagner. This is the episode synopsis:

“Fight For Your Mind” – Alex and Jo go on a road trip to Iowa to find Alex’s mom, whom he hasn’t heard from in a very long time. Meanwhile, Meredith gives a presentation on her mini-livers project, which attracts a ton of attention; and Jackson works to rebuild the foundation after its reputation is threatened, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, MAY 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

It’ll also be Jesse Williams’ directorial debut, and he posted this BTS photo of himself directing Justin in a scene. Jesse will be live-tweeting during Grey’s this week, and he promises stories and more photos from set.

There are two Grey’s promos for this episode, a TGIT promo and a sneak peek featuring Alex searching for his mom with Jo. Check it all out below.

Here is another behind-the-scenes photo from episode 14.21 posted by young actor Harlo Haas (source in the tweet) on the set of Grey’s with Sarah Utterback and Justin.

Sarah Utterback wrote an essay for the Shondaland site about her life, revisiting her Grey’s character, and she mentions Justin too. I’ll only post the part related to him, but it’s a great piece and I recommend reading it in its entirety at the link.

Shondaland: ‘Not Yet…’

Even my character, Nurse Olivia, has lapped me: Spoiler alert, but in my return to “Grey’s Anatomy,” we find out she’s moved, she’s married, she’s had a child. Naturally, this is what she’s been up to in her years since leaving Seattle Grace, so wouldn’t it make sense that I’d be up to the same?

I decided to get real with one person on set — Justin Chambers. And getting real always has its rewards. In response to his marriage and babies inquiry, I said, “No. I’m pretty much in the same place. I don’t know what that tells you about me, but I do know I’ve grown and feel like a much more present, grounded, and grateful person.”

“Because you’ve lived your life,” he said.

And he was right: I have. Rather than looking down at what little I felt I had to offer, Justin helped me acknowledge my evident personal growth, the comfort I now feel in my own skin, the self-awareness and confidence and sense of purpose I now carry — all things that will make me a better partner and parent, if I choose to inhabit those roles in the future. Even if my life looks pretty much the same, I feel completely different, and though it’s not a conversation starter, it’s still a milestone. Why don’t we value inner landmarks of growth in the same way we value outer achievements?

Below are tweets from Justin and Sarah about working together again.
