★ Actress Jerrika Hinton (Dr. Stephanie Edwards) has some of her personal BTS photos taken on the set of Grey’s Anatomy featured at Elle.
Read what Jerrika had to say about Justin and Camilla Luddington and the photo she took of them rehearsing the proposal scene from episode 12.08 “Things We Lost In the Fire.” See more of her BTS photos at Elle.com.
“Jolex” Has a Moment“This is a classic Jolex moment, where everything is dire, and Alex chooses the wrong moment to pour his heart out. These two are wonderful, kind, generous, and very close in real life. I remember them laughing a lot. I gave Camilla [Luddington] a print of that image, and she put it on Instagram; to see the amount of people going back and forth about whether her character should say yes or say no to the proposal was hilarious. They have very, very strong feelings about it.”
★ Grey’s newest series regular actor, Giacomo Gianniotti (Dr. Andrew DeLuca) gave an interview to HELLO! and he mentions Justin.
H!: Grey’s is now in its 12th season, being the new kid on the block, did the cast have any welcome rituals for you?
GG: I didn’t get any hazing of sorts, but Justin Chambers is a really great guy. He just gave me the lay of the land of how things worked and opened up to me a lot about just acting and how to deal with being an actor on this show. I was very grateful for the wisdom he showed me.
★ Actress Judy Greer (she was in The Wedding Planner with Justin) gave an interview to Glamour and mentioned Justin.
Glamour: If you had to pick one of the leading lady roles in the movies you’ve been in, who would you want to be?
Judy: I keep going back to it, but I think Jen had so much to do in 13 Going on 30 because she was essentially playing two characters. But I think that would have been super, super fun. Katherine Heigl got to be with Ed Burns and James Marsden [in 27 Dresses], so there are benefits to that. You’re not dealing with one dude—you’re dealing with two awesome guys. And J.Lo got to wear a lot of Gucci outfits and hang out with Matthew McConaughey. And, again, Justin Chambers. I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crackers!
★ Ellen Pompeo gave an interview last week where she talked about Meredith and Alex. Check out what she had to say about them below and read the entire interview (it’s a good read) at Cosmopolitan.
A lot of fans have latched onto the idea of Meredith and Alex getting together at some point. Is that something you could ever see happening?
Ellen: I don’t know how much I can really say — because I don’t want to get fired!
I’d feel very bad if I got you fired from Grey’s Anatomy.
Ellen: Listen. I said the same thing to Shonda, because Meredith seemingly doesn’t like Jo [Alex’s girlfriend]. And so I’m not really sure. Camilla [Luddington, who plays Jo] and I have really struggled with how to be truthful in these scenes. Why do I not like her? Why am I so hard on her? But ultimately that’s up to the big boss, what happens. This is Shonda’s show. And whatever Shonda wants to write, however she wants this show to go, or end, or continue to go, I have to be open to whatever she wants. My job is not to judge the characters’ choices or her choices. I just have to act my ass off. I never have thoughts about — well, I may have thoughts or opinions in my head, but they don’t really matter. Let’s say Meredith is going to wind up with Alex’s character and I can’t reconcile [that]. As difficult as that is for me to wrap my mind around, that would make it interesting if I had to do those scenes.
★ Variety made a list of their favorite TV relationships and Alex and Meredith’s friendship made their list. Check out what they had to say:
Meredith and Karev – “Greys Anatomy” (ABC)
Two of “Grey’s” original vets, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) have always been good buds — to the point of irking Karev’s girlfriend Jo (Camilla Luddington) because the friends are so close. Maybe it’s the 12 years they’ve spent together, but through all the ups and downs, Mer can always lean on Karev, as seen in this past week’s heart-wrenching episode in which Dr. Grey was brutally attacked by a patient and the only person who could get her to smile through her rough recovery was — you guessed it — Karev.
