ABC released the promotional pics for episode 7.06 “These Arms of Mine” and once again not one of them featured Justin. π Sidenote: At the moment, I don’t know if I should be surprised or not with the lack of Justin/Alex in all things Grey’s Anatomy but two things are for certain: 1) I’m disappointed with this season so far (not only with Alex’s lack of story line but the show in general); 2) I don’t understand what they’re doing over there. They aren’t using Justin much and they don’t let him do another side project. π Enough of my venting. Sorry, had to get that out. Back on topic.

The season is JUST beginning with all that happened with the season ending the writers have to get the characters back on track. I mean they (the cast) just can’t jump right in they have to show kind of trauma. I have a feeling Alex will end up with April and I think Jackson and the heart doc will have a romance.
Give the season time to heat up, it’s just getting started. I hate how Katherine Heigl publicly said she has no plans to return. So much for an Alex Izzy storyline closure. π
EDIT: Nevermind. I wrote a long reply on why I feel the way I do about the show but I don’t want to bore anyone with my ramblings. I’ll just leave it to this — I’m saddened that there have been so many opportunities to explore Alex and the writer’s haven’t taken them. The most recent opportunity was Alex getting shot and almost dying. That had potential for so much more and instead it’s been lackluster to say the least. I hope you are right and the season gets better.
Alex with the virgin or Alex with Attachment Barbie? I don’t know which option is worse. Can I have an option C? π
To be frank, I don’t see the point of having Katherine Heigl return for an episode and then leave again. Izzie left Alex, he almost died and she didn’t come see him. Why would she come back months or a year later? So that Alex can see that she’s moved on and has a happy new life with a new job and a new man? Personally, I don’t want to waste time on that type of closure. It just sounds like it would be even more painful for Alex and for the shippers of that couple who I really feel for and think they were tortured so much and got little in return. π

WORD to your whole post, Diana. I think the big problem the show has is there are too.many.damn.characters! It’s hard for any character or storyline to have any real depth when you have to jam 14 characters and all the guest stars into each episode and it becomes inevitable that several characters will get put on the back-burner. I’m bummed that Alex has gotten the short end of the stick when I think there’s so much that can be done with him. I’ve read some of the sides for the next few episodes and it at least looks like he will be getting some good medical cases so that has me a bit hopeful. Justin does deserve more and better than what he’s had though.
BTW, is there any news on the indie thriller he was supposed to shoot in the summer? I’m looking forward to that even more so now that GA is what it is this season…

Yes, he does deserve more and better! It really is crazy how many characters are on this show now. A few good medical cases would make me a bit happier.
About that………… π I can’t really talk much about it yet but the main thing is Justin dropped out of that project.
