I added the 6 promotional stills featuring Justin that ABC released for episode 9.15 – “Hard Bargain”. The episode synopsis and link to the photo album are below.
“Hard Bargain” – As the hospital spirals closer to financial ruin, Owen must make some tough decisions, which includes foregoing an expensive surgery that could save the life of a child. Meanwhile, Alex and Jo work together to save the life of an infant, and April asks Jackson for dating advice, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Grey’s Anatomy creator and producer, Shonda Rhimes, gave a few interviews this week and gave some spoilers about what is coming up for Alex. I’ll post it under a cut for those that don’t want to know. Click the cut to read what Shonda had to say.
TVLINE | Back in September you told me that this would be the season Alex finds love with a woman who will not leave him. Is Wilson that woman?
Shonda: Possibly. I’m hopeful. I started out this season being very specific and sure about that, and then really wanting to calibrate that for him. We’ve been watching the chemistry between them and building things. I didn’t want to jump into an immediate romance for him. He’s been the guy who sleeps with everybody, and I didn’t want to see him do that. I felt like he needed a friend. We’ve been watching that build, and I don’t want it to go too fast or too slow. We’ll see what comes. They’re now doing stuff together that just makes me laugh out loud while watching the cuts, and I don’t want to push it. Right now we’re just leaning into it.
Question: I’m kind of loving Jo/Alex on Grey’s Anatomy, but I think it’s time they stop being polite and start getting it on. She bought him a couch for chrissakes! —Carrie
Ausiello: I’m right there with you, Carrie! It’s Shonda Rhimes that remains on the fence. Elaborating on what she told me about the pair earlier in the week, Rhimes says, “I don’t know that you will see one of them cross the line. I’ve been watching this thing build. And I feel like we want the build to feel natural and real and not to have it go too fast. And not to feel engineered. I’m just watching their chemistry and enjoying them together. Right now, we’re just leaning into it and seeing where it goes.”
Will Seattle Grace really have to close on Grey’s Anatomy? — Pam
The doctors will go to great lengths to try to keep the hospital open — and in an upcoming Alex-centric episode, those lengths will actually be quite hilarious. “That’s a great, funny and interesting episode,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes says. “It’s really about the idea that they’re trying to rebrand the hospital in a certain way. So they’re reluctantly fighting to be the face of the hospital, or the cover boy for the hospital, in a way that’s very funny and very challenging because you begin to realize how much trouble they really are in at the hospital, so you’re watching things fall apart from that perspective.”
