Wow. This update took me hours to make. It’s all about the People’s Choice Awards this time!

★ I noticed that I had never added photos from the 33rd Annual People’s Choice Awards in 2007 to the gallery, so I had to dig them up from my archive. FYI, Grey’s Anatomy won Favorite TV Drama that year. Photos from the red carpet, show, press room and official portrait are at the links below.

★ Nine years later, Justin attended the 42nd Annual People’s Choice Awards last Wednesday, January 6. I did a rewatch of the PCAs and made some screencaps of Justin seated in the audience and later onstage when the cast of Grey’s Anatomy accepted the award for Favorite Network TV Drama.

Well, it’s that time of year when the reviews and retrospectives start coming out…

★ People magazine named Shonda Rhimes one of the “25 most intriguing people of the year” and Entertainment Weekly published outtakes from its favorites photo shoots of 2015. Both magazines used new photos from their Shondaland photo shoot and I added the scans to our gallery.

 
★ TV Fanatic has been posting its ‘Year in Review’ lists and, unsurprisingly, Alex Karev is on its list of 15 characters who deserve more screen time. Check it out:

Year in Review: 15 Characters Who Deserve More Screen Time

As we continue our year in review, we’re looking at characters who could have made good work of more juicy stories.

They were underutilized, some of them mere backgrounds when they are, in fact, leads. Try to find good photos of them in their current season and you’ll see what we mean.

Others are just so good we think they should be featured a lot more often.

1. Alex Karev from Grey’s Anatomy. He’s one of the best characters and one of the few originals remaining, yet he does not get the screen time he deserves. Grey’s keeps bringing in unnecessary new characters instead of featuring the great ones they already have. Alex should be saving babies while providing advice and sarcastic comments on a regular basis. Instead, he’s pushed to the sidelines more often than not.

Grey’s Anatomy set decorator, Nicole Cramer, tweeted this pic of the fridge in Jo and Alex’s (Jolex) loft.
In response to a question as to how the Jolex selfie came about, Nicole explained that Justin and Camilla looked so great that she asked them to take a pic together for the loft and they promptly agreed. Cute pic!

★ Voting for the 2016 People’s Choice Awards ends tomorrow. Justin and Grey’s Anatomy are nominated, so keep voting. 🙂

I’m not sure which season 12 episode was being filmed at the time of this pic, but it shows Justin on set in between takes.

This is a very late update… I know. It kept being delayed due to the Grey’s Anatomy mid-season finale, having to spend time looking around and life. But here it is, finally.

There were several pics posted on social media of Justin at the Disabled Veterans Business Alliance‘s (DVBA) Salute to Veterans Day Breakfast on November 13. I usually embed the pics on the update but it would take me way too long and would make this update huge. So, I decided to put all the fan pics into the album with the professional pics I came across from the event and just post links to the fans’ pics.

Salute to Veterans Day Breakfast – November 13

 
As we can see, Justin was onstage and spoke at the event. He presented the Charles Durning Award to his friend, the legendary Ann-Margret, who was honored for her work in support of veterans. An attendee posted on Facebook about Justin:

Star actor Justin Chambers (Dr. Karev on Grey’s Anatomy) narrating a powerful video tribute honoring our veterans of the Viet Nam war. He was excellent and so was the video … not a dry eye in the house. Justin is a big supporter of our military and particularly of our veterans.

★ On November 9th, Justin attended the ‘WordTheatre in the Schools‘ benefit. I added 2 pics of Justin at the event to our gallery. Click on the pics for the album.
