9.06 – Second Opinion

Next Thursday (Nov. 22) is Thanksgiving in the US and because of that there won’t be a new episode of Grey’s Anatomy. On Nov. 29, episode 9.07 named “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” will air and below is the promo for it.

People magazine has an online feature where they chose a male celeb from each US state to “who represent hotness from every corner of the country.” Justin was chosen to represent his hometown state of Ohio. Click the link for the feature at People.com.

Prior to being recruited as a male model off the streets of Paris, the Grey’s Anatomy hunk lived a small-town life in Springfield, where the class of ’89 graduate from Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center majored in general merchandising.

9.04 – I Saw Her Standing There

Next Thursday ABC will be airing the 46th Annual Country Music Awards which means that Grey’s Anatomy only returns on November 8th with the Meredith and Cristina-centric episode “Beautiful Doom”. The following video is the promo for that episode.

Camilla Luddington, who plays intern Jo, said on Twitter that Justin is lovely and let us know that the cast has personalized pillows. Actress Skyler Day, who played patient Emery in this week’s episode, posted a pic of herself on set with Justin, Sara Ramirez and Gaius Charles who plays intern Shane. Finally, this is the promo for next Thursday’s episode of Grey’s, “I Saw Her Standing There”.

A photographer by the name of Kyle Zimmerman wrote on her blog a story about living in Athens, Greece in 1991 and taking photos of a 20/21 year old model named Justin Chambers. I love hearing/reading these stories.

In 1991 I was living in a ‘model hotel’ called the Hotel Orion in Athens Greece. I struggled and starved and traded photo sessions with models to survive. We were all trying to ‘make it’ to be ‘seen’ by the local fashion community of magazines, agencies and clients. I would often take a young beauty to the supermarket and buy her a giant container of yogurt and she would buy me a roll of film. We would go back to the hotel, dress him or her up and take photos for their portfolio. Sometimes we would take to the streets, prowl the bars, take over restaurants to get dynamic shots. We worked fast and furious and made some pretty cool art. We all got noticed but one boy in particular got MORE noticed. Justin Chambers, famous for his role on Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Alex Karev… In 1991, we were living at the Orion and one day he bought me a roll of film. Ilford XP1.
