It’s that time of year when voting opens to nominate for the People’s Choice Awards. As you’ll recall, Justin won last year the award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor, and he’s on the shortlist to be nominated for an award this year again.

The awards are now hosted by E! Entertainment and as a result the categories have changed. Justin is on the shortlist for The Male TV Star of 2018 award.

Vacation is over, it’s September and that means the new season of Grey’s Anatomy is quickly approaching. Season 15 will have a two-hour premiere on September 27 at 8 p.m. on ABC (the premiere on Canada’s CTV channel will be on Sept. 26). Here are some photos and news about Justin’s return to work for season 15 of the show.

 
★ On July 28, Grey’s executive producer Debbie Allen hosted a luau-themed party at her home for the cast and crew of the show to kickoff season 15. A couple of photos of Justin at the party (second photo includes Justin’s co-star Kelly McCreary) were posted by Tsehay Driscoll. Click on the photos to see them in full size.

 
★ Camilla Luddington was interviewed by Us Weekly and she gave some tidbits about the beginning of season 15 for Alex and Jo.

“Jo and Alex are on their honeymoon in episode one, and Jo actually gets inspired and believes she may come up with a new medical innovation,” she told Us about season 15 of Grey’s Anatomy. “She feels like the person she would love to pursue with, because she loved doing things with her, is Meredith. So now she has to go back to Seattle and convince them to kind of do this with her.”

Luddington, 34, also added that she’s hoping the honeymoon stage continues with Jo and Alex (Justin Chambers), even when they’re back at work. “They’re affectionate with each other, they’re cheeky with each other, they’re playful. That’s what I love about them. There’s so much love and support there,” she shared. “They’ll be navigating being newlyweds this season.”

Justin returned to work on Thursday (July 26) for the first Grey’s Anatomy table read of season 15, and also for a cast photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly. Co-star Camilla Luddington posted this pic when she reunited with her TV “hubby.”

 
Last night (July 28), Justin attended the release party for Pete Escovedo’s new album “Back to the Bay” at the Catalina Jazz Club, and he made this Instagram post about it:

★ NetFlix (US) announced this week that Season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy will be available starting June 12.

★ The season 14 finale of Grey’s Anatomy is here! This Thursday, tune into Grey’s to see Alex finally marry Jo. But before the wedding ceremony, they are going to get themselves into a bit of trouble. Check out this sneak peek from the season finale titled “All of Me.”

★ In the previous update, I posted Jessica Capshaw’s tribute to Justin, and he later posted this selfie showing a portrait of Jessica he’ll be keeping in his trailer at work. It’s nice to see the mutual affection and admiration these two friends have for each other.💛
