★ The Grey’s season 13 wrap party was held at HYDE Sunset on April 10th. Justin went to the party and Grey’s executive-producer Debbie Allen and actress/friend Sally Brooks posted pics with him.

“Don’t Stop Me Now” – Bailey and April work to fix things between Richard and Catherine. Meanwhile, Eliza continues to pursue Arizona, and one of Alex’s previous patients returns to Grey Sloan, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, APRIL 27 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

Is Grey Sloan going up in flames?

With Grey’s Anatomy heading toward a big event in its season finale, a new tease from Shonda Rhimes may spell doom for the hospital — that, or the hospital may play host to the victims of a fire. You decide: “Debbie Allen and I like to say that the episode is on fire,” Rhimes told EW at the Scandal 100th episode party on Saturday night. “That’s the only way we’re going to describe it. It’s a pretty exciting episode that’s very on fire.”

Allen, who wrapped directing the Grey’s finale on Friday, concurred: “I can only tease that it’s going to be hot for real; it’s on fire. We had night shoots and we were up all night for a couple of weeks, but boy it was great. I was so excited every day.”

Does this mean the actual hospital will be on fire in the finale? “I don’t know about that,” Rhimes said coyly.

However fire may or may not play a role in the finale, it sounds like someone could get burned. “You should be worried,” Allen cautioned. “Be worried, because it’s that kind of night. It’s going to be that kind of a ride.”

In fact, Allen reveals that the events of the season finale will give fans an indication of what’s coming next year. “I think season 14 is going to be spectacular,” Allen said. “We’re planting some seeds that you won’t see coming, but you will be waiting to see how it’s all going to play out.”

One of the fan questions asked was “Can you describe Justin Chambers in one word?’ I transcribed Jessica and Betsy’s conversation about Justin below.

Betsy: @HuntMckidd wants ‘Can you describe Justin Chambers in one word?’

Jessica: He’s lovable. ‘Lovable’ would be a good word. He’s so dear, he’s so kind, he’s like a big brother. He’s like a little scallywag. Like you could totally get into trouble with him. And he was one of the first people I worked with.

B: He’s so much fun.

J: I have such a dear place, you know, in my heart for him and I think he’s just lovable. He’s great.

B: I gotta say, Justin Chambers, I do not know one person –

J: Who doesn’t love him.

B: That I’ve ever met, who doesn’t love him.

J: It’s true!

B: Because he is just pure joy to me.

J: He is! He totally is.

B: Like, he is super non-judgy. He does yell at me because I swear too much. That’s the one thing I will give him. But he’s just like “why do you do that?”

J: He’s also, like I said, he gets into trouble, he giggles. We sit next to each other at table reads.

B: You always do, too. You always sit next to each other.

J: We do. But he’s the worst, because he, I don’t know, I’m like the good girl so I’m always like, ‘You know, I don’t want to get in trouble, I’m not going to talk during class.’ And he’s like, you know something will make him laugh or something and he’ll like, he’ll just always, he just makes me laugh. He just makes me laugh. He’ll like roll his eyes or do something that will make me laugh every time.

B: He’s the best.

 
★ Next Thursday, April 13, Grey’s will once air a centric episode and the focus will be on Meredith Grey and Nathan Riggs. Justin won’t be in the episode but here is the synopsis and the promo for the episode.

“In the Air Tonight” – Meredith and Nathan have to confront their feelings when they are are stuck sitting next to each other on a plane, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, APRIL 13 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

★ Last week’s episode of Grey’s marked Ellen Pompeo’s directorial debut. In an article posted by The Hollywood Reporter, Justin had this to say about Ellen as a director:

For his part, Grey’s co-star Justin Chambers (Alex) describes his longtime co-star as an “actor’s director” and notes that he’s proud of Pompeo for stepping behind the camera and taking on a greater leadership role with the series.

“She really seems like a natural,” he says. “Think about it: She’s been here for 13 seasons. She’s seen everyone come and go and worked with so many directors that she probably has taken something from everyone. And she knows these characters. I call her Girl Friday because she’s a smart woman and she can watch, sit back and take it all in and knows everyone so well.”
