★ The Shondaland Revealed Podcast last week had Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) as producer Betsy Beers’s guest. Naturally, they talked about the episode that had just aired, Grey’s and Justin was briefly mentioned.

The podcast can be listened to at Entertainment Weekly. Justin was mentioned during the answer to the question (at 17:30 min), “If you could be any other character on Grey’s, what would it be?”

Jesse: I like [Cristina Yang] and I always like… Karev is always the first one that comes to mind, too. Those are two of my favorite characters, I think.

Betsy: I was an early Karev supporter, just for the record. Talk about having a lot of crap thrown at him the first few seasons, too.

Jesse: Yeah.

Betsy: And once again, Justin Chambers, like one of the nicest people you will ever meet in your life.

Jesse: Yeah.

★ Actress Taylor Blackwell, (she played Alex’s patient, Kelsey,that had the transplant in this week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy) gave an interview recently and mentioned Justin.

Young Actress Takes on the Role of Her Dreams

After being accepted to play the role on Grey’s Anatomy, Blackwell was able to begin working. She was able to interact with professions that had filming down to a science, and many stores were shared through experience.

“One of my favorite things about being an actress is the people you meet, and that was definitely one of the coolest things about being on the Grey’s Anatomy set,” Blackwell said. “I had a really nice conversation with Justin Chambers who plays Dr. Alex Karev about storytelling and career choices.”

★ Some of the Grey’s Anatomy cast and crew will be participating in TOUGH MUDDER on April 17th to raise funds for the non-profit organization My Friend’s Place that helps the homeless youth of Los Angeles.

★ Jessica Capshaw (Dr. Arizona Robbins) was the guest on the most recent edition of the Shondaland Revealed podcast. She called Justin her “work husband” and talked a bit about them working together. Below is a transcript of the part where she mentions Justin. The podcast can be listened to at Entertainment Weekly.

Note: Jessica says “like” “and” “you know” quite often, so I eliminated some of those instances to make this easier to read. lol

For some reason it’s like actor kryptonite, but it’s just as soon as you realize that you’re flubbing a line, messing up a line or really flat out just don’t know a line, it’s just never not funny. It’s always the funniest thing ever, and then pretty much the slew of expletives that come out of your mouth right afterwards ends up making everybody else laugh. And then sometimes you get these lines… I mean, Justin and I, he’s like my work husband, you know. I just love him so much and we work together all the time. We kind of know each other in a specific way, and it’s so easy, and he can sort of say anything to me. But often times, like we’ll get a line that’s not easy to say in the moment, where like… it’ll be just like Alex is about to do something and Arizona has to say “No, Alex”, and sometimes I’ll get completely caught up in how to say “No, Alex!” and it’ll come out like that instead of like authentic. It’ll come out really, really forced and like “Noooo!” And he literally will look at me and be like “You gotta stop that. What are you doing?” So then we’ll sort of dissolve and then I have to get it back together again.

Justin is one of the celebrities on the guest list for the 12th Annual Desert Smash. This is a charity celebrity tennis event that will take place on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California. The event will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this year.
