I uploaded the TVNZ 20/20 segment on Grey’s Anatomy to our video archive and it can also be watched below.

I added the promo stills from episode 8.05 to the gallery. Justin can hardly be seen in a couple of them but it might make for a fun game of ‘Where’s Waldo Justin?’

8.05 – Love, Loss and Legacy

GREY’S ANATOMY – “Love, Loss and Legacy” – The residents try their hardest to impress surgical great Catherine Avery-who also happens to be Jackson’s mother-when she arrives at Seattle Grace to perform a groundbreaking transplant surgery; Arizona and Alex find their hands tied with a confidentiality issue when a familiar patient comes into the ER; meanwhile, a love-struck Teddy throws a dinner party for the couples, and Bailey makes a decision regarding her love life, on Grey’s Anatomy, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

And a reminder that the two-hour season 8 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy is tonight on ABC (and CTV for the Canadian fans).

Here is a second video where Justin and Kevin discuss the musical episode, if we’ll meet more of Alex’s family and the 5th year residents flying solo.

What are you guys hoping we’ll see on the show? More musicals and/or more Karevs? This one is easy for me: NO to musicals ( πŸ˜† ), YES to Karevs (my preference would be Alex’s dad, second place his sister).

With the new season of Grey’s Anatomy beginning tomorrow a lot of interviews are now being released. Below is the Sky Living interview with Justin and Kevin McKidd from the TCA tour back in August.

I uploaded a small Grey’s Anatomy season premiere preview that ET Canada ran this week. Most of the scenes have already appeared in the promos and sneak peeks except for the last one.
P.S. – Does he say ‘Chang’ instead of ‘Yang’? πŸ˜†

A few sites have posted season premiere reviews and spoilers so if you’re the impatient type here are a few links:

A bit of everything in this update. First off, a couple of fan pics from on and off the set of Grey’s Anatomy.

In an article from New Zealand there’s a quote from Justin about last season’s musical episode.

It wasn’t until filming started that everyone realised the logistical challenges involved, like everything taking three times as long to film.

“It was a lot of hard work,” says Justin Chambers, who plays Dr Alex Karev. “They really took a chance on that episode and we have to give credit to Shonda and the show for that. To be this far into the series and go, ‘let’s try something different’.

“And they’re inspired by the musical stuff, which is really popular right now. There are lots of talented kids who can sing and dance and that’s fun to see – a lot of people didn’t know Sara is such a brilliant singer.”

The Scars On 45 music video with some scenes from the new season of the show is out. I added a few screencaps from the music video to the gallery but I’ll take them down once the season premiere airs. Click on the link:

Justin’s 41 years old? For real? πŸ˜‰

And the actual video… “Heart on Fire” – Scars on 45

Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Seventh Season DVD set comes out September 22 in the US and Canada. One of the special features on the DVD set is the extended musical episode a.k.a. episode 7.18 “Song Beneath the Song”.

The DVD version of the musical episode is only about 4 minutes longer. There’s a new scene of the doctors at the ER entrance awaiting the ambulance transporting Callie, a new Addison/Lucy/Alex scene and a new Bailey/Eli scene. Everything else seems pretty much the same (same songs although I noticed there’s more of Owen singing Gomez’s “How we Operate” while he’s with the attendings) with probably only a new line here or there (I FF’d through the DVD version and only watched the TV version once so I couldn’t really say what new lines there are or where. πŸ˜† )

Anyway, below are the two new scenes Justin is in however, he doesn’t have any lines.
