Here is a second video where Justin and Kevin discuss the musical episode, if we’ll meet more of Alex’s family and the 5th year residents flying solo.

What are you guys hoping we’ll see on the show? More musicals and/or more Karevs? This one is easy for me: NO to musicals ( πŸ˜† ), YES to Karevs (my preference would be Alex’s dad, second place his sister).

I’d like an other Musicalepisode, but more important is the thing with Alex’ family πŸ˜€
I think it would be very exciting :))

  2. Willa says:

I agree with you. I mean the musical has been done already why do another musical? I too would really like to see Alex Dad WAY more than Alex sister. Alex has some unresolved issues with his father and I would like to see him work them out.
    That my two cents :o)

  3. Diana says:

Exactly. It would be more interesting to see what would happen if Alex saw his father again after all these years even more so because he left on bad terms.

  4. Willa says:

I would like to see Alex’s Mother to have a better idea of how messed up she is without her meds. But then again why bring these dysfunctional people back into Alex life when he so close to completing his intership and becoming a doctor.

  5. Diana says:

Judging by what Alex (and Aaron) has said about his mom and the way he took care of a mentally unstable Rebecca like it was something he was used to doing (telling Izzie he had done it before with his mom), I feel like I’ve got a pretty good sense of what Alex’s mom is like especially when she’s off her meds. That is why I’m not as interested in meeting her as I am meeting Alex’s dad or even his sister (although I get the feeling she’ll react to Alex a lot like Aaron did and accuse him of walking out on them).

“why bring these dysfunctional people back into Alex life when he so close to completing his intership and becoming a doctor.”

The answer to that is: to crap on Alex some more. 😐 It creates conflict, drama and makes Alex even more unhappy than he is. I think Alex will be the character whose existence will ultimately be sad, he’ll be the character who never got to be truly happy. If GA continues after season 8 but without Justin I think there’s a very good chance Alex will be written out as having gone back to Iowa to care of his mom/family.

  6. Willa says:

OMG…to crap on Alex some more. So true πŸ˜€ I never thought of that Diana. Yes, I do feel we got a sense of how Alex helped his Mom with Rebecca and cancer stricken Izzy. This is going to be a very important season for Grey’s Anatomy. We do not know if the show will go on or wrap up. I persoanly would not watch the show if the main characters left. If Alex does go back to Iowa, that’s it for me. Talk to you later Diana. It’s alway good talking to a person who is into this show as much as I am.

  7. Diana says:

To be honest, my enthusiasm for Grey’s has seen better days. I’m just not into the show like I used to be (I used to be REALLY into it). πŸ˜• I’m pretty sure ABC will squeeze in another season or two after season 8 and Shonda sounds like she wants GA to go on for at least another season with or without the original characters. But if Justin isn’t there then neither am I. He’s the main reason why I keep up with the show. It’ll be interesting to see how things work out regarding contracts and who will leave or not at the end of the season.

As always, thanks for the comments, Willa. πŸ˜€ Your visits to the site and comments are always greatly appreciated!

The show is not the same without Katherine Heigl. Funny I do not miss Isaiah Washington or T.R. Knight. Patrick Demsey has sort of said this is his last season. If he leaves where does that leave Ellen Pompeo. I do not think Lexi Grey can carry the show. If the main players leave the show should just call it a day and wrap up. Season seven was weak…it just limped by. Anyways that my take on the whole thing.
    Take Care

  9. Diana says:

I really didn’t like Izzie by the end so I can’t say I miss her at all (the one that was in season 6 was horrible). I liked Burke more than Owen though. The problem isn’t Katherine Heigl not being there, IMHO. The problem is fundamentally in the writing and the bloated cast. The new characters haven’t resonated with me and I end up resenting them because they are taking away screentime that could be used to give Alex a decent storyline, for example. I do believe the true strength of the show lies in the original cast of characters and so, without them, the show will have a quick death. I would really have liked for GA to do what Desperate Housewives is going to do and set an end date so that there is a whole season to carefully prepare the end of the story. I fear that with Shonda and ABC wanting to push forward and the contract negotiations happening in the second half of the season, that the main characters might be written out in a rushed and lame way (if the actor and studio don’t reach an agreement), a way that doesn’t do justice to the character(s) we’ve watched for 8 years and was/were part of the reason the show became such a huge hit.

  10. Willa says:

I fear that too. That the show is not going to end right. Alex and Izzy’s relationship was very interesting. No other woman has caught that magic that made me want to watch. I liked the character of Izzy.

  11. Diana says:

There was a time when I liked the character of Izzie but then Katherine Heigl became interested in anything other than Grey’s Anatomy and forgot what professionalism and loyalty is and Izzie became insufferable as a result (I didn’t like her back in the day when she was chasing her married bestfriend and treating his wife like crap but when she got back with Alex I warmed up to her again mostly because I enjoyed seeing Alex happy for once). I felt (and still feel) that Alex suffered way too much because of her and he deserved better than that…

I’m already expecting the show to not end right. My outlook is – it’s better to have low expectations and perhaps be pleasantly surprised than to have high expectations and be utterly disappointed.
Well, am I not just a ray of sunshine? πŸ˜†

  12. Willa says:

Yes you are. The eternal optomistic. Yes when Katherine started doing well in comedy movies she DID get too full of herself and it showed ON the show. I just do not want to see a “rushed ending” like for example all the interns graduating in the next episode so fast and out of the blue with no build up to the event. I would rather see the show end on top than to keep going on with new characters and get cancelled by the networks. Oh well but that’s just me.8)

  13. Diana says:

“I would rather see the show end on top than to keep going on with new characters and get cancelled by the networks.”

AMEN! That’s what I would like too but I know that’s not going to happen. Most importantly for me would be to see Alex end his run on the show as a happy and fulfilled man especially after everything that he’s been through, not only in Seattle, but his whole life. The realistic (pessimistic) me believes that isn’t going to happen and instead we’ll get some rushed, lame ending to ship a sad/hurt/angry/lonely Alex off the show. πŸ™„
