  4. Diana says:

I didn’t think the short would elicit this response… y’all are welcome! πŸ˜€

  5. Willa says:

I am just trying to understand this short film. What is it about and what it is saying. People going through the work day not feeling?

  6. Diana says:

My interpretation is this is about a guy who hates his job and hates his co-workers to the point where getting up in the morning and going to the office is as painful as walking around with a knife is his chest. He’s miserable all day but going home and getting to be with his girl makes him happy (and vice-versa, hence the girlfriend having a corkscrew in her head but taking it out when she’s with him). She’s his reward after getting through another sucky day (love = happiness).

ETA: OMG, I’m the queen of procrastinating! Must.get.to.work. 😐

  7. Willa says:

Yea! Now I can see your point. It’s not a film about self mutilation (knife in chest, corkscrew in skull) but two people enjoying happiness in each other at the end of another work day. GREAT

  8. Mai says:

That’s a good interpretation, Diana! Haven’t thought of it that way. I had thought of him being unhappy at work, yes and nobody noticing it. I hadn’t thought of the girlfriend part, but I agree.

  9. Diana says:

You’re killing me, Willa. πŸ˜† You’d have to be seriously messed up to make a short film about self mutilation and label it a comedy.

Hi Mai! πŸ™‚ That’s the way I interpreted the whole thing at least. The reason I added the synopsis is because it says the short film is an ALLEGORICAL story and so, the point isn’t that he stabs himself in the chest but what the knife in the chest represents in the context of the story. And because the character (Sheldon) only smiles and talks at the end when he’s with his gf I think meant that he was happy then.

BTW, are you the Mai that updates the Justin Chambers fans twitter? http://twitter.com/WeLoveJC

  10. Willa says:

Hehehe…I didn’t quite understand what the film maker was trying to get across. I did notice that no one else noticed or cared about the knife in the chest. I do enjoy watching! Thanks so much for sharing.

  11. Mai says:

    Yep, that’s me πŸ™‚

  12. Diana says:

    No problem, Willa. πŸ˜‰
