Justin will be dropping by the Maui Film Festival again this year. The festival runs from June 16 – 20th and Justin is scheduled to be at the World Premiere of the short film he stars in “The Happiest Man Alive” on Friday, June 18th at the Celestial Cinema –> Info on the screening. The box art for the Grey’s Anatomy season 6 DVD set has been released. The 6-disc set will go on sale on September 14th and include 2 extended episodes. For more info and a better look at the box art go to TV Shows on DVD.

Katherine Heigl talked a bit about Justin and her attachment to Alex & Izzie’s relationship on Grey’s Anatomy in an interview with MTV:

“I’m going to have to watch this now. I have to see [Alex] call for [Izzy] and her never come. … I really miss that relationship,” Heigl said of her former onscreen romance with Alex (played by Justin Chambers). “Justin Chambers is one of the most amazing men and certainly a spectacular actor. I feel oddly attached to him and the character and my character being together. It just seems what’s supposed to be, but you can’t have it all.”

In an interview with actor Jesse Williams who plays Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy he mentions Justin.

Adam: This is a tough question I know, but do your best. Who do you like working with the most on the show? Who do you have the most fun with? Yes, you have to choose (laughs)

Jesse: Probably Chyler [Leigh], we give each other a lot of crap. Same with Jessica [Capshaw] and Justin [Chambers]. We have a lot of fun.

Yesterday was the Hillsides Foster Soles Kickoff Party for Online Auction of Celebrity Autographed Shoes. Hillsides is a nonprofit foster care and treatment center for abused children and many celebrities have donated a pair of autographed shoes to raise funds.

An article came out yesterday about the future of Grey’s Anatomy and Shonda Rhimes name-dropped Justin. I’ll only post the paragraph where he is specifically mentioned but the rest of the article can be read at TV Guide Magazine.

And with rumors that Patrick, too, may want out when his contract is up, one actor is already campaigning hard to be Lexie’s Lil’ McDreamy: Jesse Williams (Jackson). “That’s because those two get along like gangbusters,” says Rhimes. “But I think Justin [Chambers] would fight him for that, because he wants the exact same thing.”

There’s a new article up at TV Guide Magazine with quotes from Justin. There are a few spoilers in the article about what’s coming up for Alex Karev on the show but here’s the bit about Justin’s life and his upcoming movie:

With Isaiah Washington and T.R. Knight also gone, and Ellen Pompeo saying she’ll be next, Justin’s one of the few remaining originals who’s enthusiastic about signing on for more seasons when his contract comes up for renewal next year. Turning the big 4-0 in July, he plans to spend his hiatus in Los Angeles starring in a movie opposite Chyler, who’s also producing the indie thriller with her husband, Nathan West. “With five kids, I don’t want to be traveling the world from one film to the next,” says Justin. “I want to stay here and watch my kids grow up. Grey’s Anatomy is a good job for my lifestyle. I like it here.” Hear that, Heigl? That’s what gratitude sounds like!

Now we have an idea what type of movie Justin will be shooting this summer.

I added another press junket interview for season 6 of Grey’s Anatomy. Wish we’d get interviews more often because Justin is a great at them. He’s nice to look at too.
Small note: most people will realise this but just so there’s no confusion, the press junket was held early on in season 6 so when Justin says “next year” he means this year and when he talks about hoping Alex and Izzie make it well, Katherine Heigl was still part of the show at the time.
