The Wrap made a video compilation of the most outrageous moments in 2014 on the three shows that Shonda Rhimes produces (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder). The video includes one of Justin’s scenes at about the 2:28 mark (it’s the shower scene from episode 11.03 “Got to Be Real”).

The Hollywood Reporter posted an interview with Justin and Camilla Luddington done during a set visit for the midseason finale. In it, both actors discuss their thoughts about the relationship between their characters and Justin talks a bit about Alex’s relationship with his friend Meredith.

Below is an excerpt from the interview:

As for the couple’s future, both Luddington and Chambers would like to see Alex and Jo become the next major wedding event on Grey’s Anatomy.

“They’re so messy together, but every single couple on the show is and they have their issues,” Luddington says. “They work well together and I think they’re both really growing in their relationship. Even Jo being open and having this conversation where she’s like, ‘You know what? I am jealous and this sucks; I don’t feel like I’m No. 1.’ That’s tough for her to have. You can see Alex really growing up in their relationship, too, and stepping forward and being a supportive boyfriend. I think they do have what it takes.”

Chambers agrees and sees Jo as Alex’s endgame.

“He really likes her a lot,” he says. “Maybe we’ll get to see them in more domesticated situations and the typical day-to-day relationship stuff. I think they complement each other, I really do.”

Chambers, one of the handful of original series regulars to remain on the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama for all 11 seasons, has enjoyed seeing a new side of Alex this season as Meredith continues to see him as her “person.”

“It’s great to see that side of Alex. You get to see him become a voice of reason, and Alex has always seemed a little more impulsive or reactive,” he says. “This time with Meredith, it seems like he’s more thoughtful and paces himself. He’s articulating himself. To help her bonds the relationship more. It’s an interesting dynamic. It seems like Alex has become a little more like George (T.R. Knight) this year. Everyone’s coming to him for advice. He seems to be more in touch with his emotions and being able to voice them. He was such a prick in the beginning and now he’s not angry all the time and just gives advice and gets to be a little sane. It’s a nice change.”

With the end of the year approaching, lists of the best and worst of 2014 are coming out. TV Fanatic lists Jo and Alex, aka Jolex, as the Best Romance of 2014.

News came this week that season 11 of Grey’s Anatomy will have 24 episodes. In addition to the full season order (22 episodes) Grey’s Anatomy had, ABC has ordered an additional two episodes. Source: TV Line

In the aftermath of Thursday’s Callie and Arizona centric episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Jessica Capshaw gave an interview to TV Guide where she talks a bit about working with Justin.

It’s funny to see Callie and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) bond over their troubles, but it’s also kind of heartwarming to see the interactions between Arizona and Alex (Justin Chambers).
Capshaw: Alex is always kind of her person. It’s really funny — Justin and I are good friends outside of the show and when we go to do these scenes, he’s such a great actor and he’s been playing this part for so long that his reactions and his playing of the character comes very easy to him. And it is very Alex. He’s a boy and he’s like, “Dude, get over it.” Of course, I come to it as Jessica playing Arizona, and then Justin’ll be like, “Dude, get over it.” I’m like, “Can you please be nicer to me in that scene?”

I added a few photos (not the best quality) from the Nexus XIX Training Conference this past Wednesday. As you may recall, Justin was invited as a keynote speaker at the conference hosted by ICAN (Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect) which focused on the topic of “Violence Within the Home and Its Effects on Children”. I heard Justin delivered a great and inspirational speech, but unfortunately there’s no video as far as I’ve seen.

Check out the photos which include Justin’s wife, Keisha (black & white dress), and his childhood crush, actress and author Lindsay Wagner (glasses and a red skirt).

In an interview with Paste Magazine, Justin’s Grey’s co-star Camilla Luddington had this to say about working with him:

Paste: How is it working with Justin Chambers? Everyone always talks about how funny he is, and we’ve finally seen that playful side come through in Alex’s relationship with Jo.
Luddington: Justin is so fun. He’s so sweet. What I love about him, as an actor, is that he’s down to do whatever. There’s a scene in Season Nine when we have to jump up and do these strange animal noises, and other actors wouldn’t be down to play in those moments. He’s always up for it. It makes my job easier because I don’t feel ridiculous doing it. He’s so playful, and I feel lucky to have him as a love interest, because he’s such a giving actor.
