We had already heard a few months ago that Lindsay Wagner would reprise her role as Alex’s mom, Helen Karev, and this week Entertainment Tonight revealed that we’ll be seeing her in episode 15.15 (slated to air on Feb. 28th), which is the special milestone episode that will make Grey’s Anatomy the longest-running primetime medical drama.
And to make things even better, Lindsay posted this BTS pic of herself on set with Justin.

ET also aired this segment on Thursday for the midseason premiere of Grey’s. It’s about some of the “secrets” behind the show, and Justin makes an appearance where he talks about how the original pilot was shot without Alex Karev.

Lastly, Michael Ausiello (President and Editorial Director of TVLine) was on the set of the show when the cast was doing press last week, and he got Justin and Camilla Luddington to send this nice video message to his niece, Lauren. Check it out:

Filming on season 15 of Grey’s Anatomy resumed this past week and with that the show hit a major milestone. They are currently filming episode 15.15, which is the 332nd episode. Why is that a big deal? Well, the longest-running primetime medical drama was ER (aired on NBC from 1994-2009) which ended its run with 331 episodes. At 332 episodes, Grey’s Anatomy is now the longest-running primetime medical drama! A huge congratulations to Justin and the rest of the cast and crew of Grey’s on this amazing achievement! 👏🎉🍾🥂❤️

On Thursday (Jan. 10), the cast was interviewed on the set about this milestone. I don’t know the air dates for the interviews, but I’ll post them here when I do know. In the meantime, here are a two photos of Justin and Camilla Luddington posted by the ABC news team that interviewed them: journalists Juju Chang and Galia Sotomayor, and producer Derick Yanehiro. The full-sized photos can be seen in the BTS album linked below.

On Friday (Jan. 11), Justin and Camilla filmed on location in downtown Los Angeles and she posted this photo (IG story) of him encouraging her to walk under the ladder, but looks like she’s superstitious. 😄 Full-sized photo also in the BTS album.

12/18/2018

ABC finally announced the midseason premiere dates and Grey’s Anatomy’s will return on Thursday, January 17th at the usual time of 8pm.

When it comes to the Grey’s production schedule, the last filming day of 2018 was last Friday (Dec. 14) and the cast and crew is now enjoying their holiday break until early January.

As to our favorite cast member, Justin caught a flight out of Los Angeles over the weekend, and a flight attendant made an Instagram post about meeting him. It’s a nice post for the holiday season, and I’d definitely say it was a sweet early Christmas gift for her! Check out what she said about below. ✨🎄🎁

Justin Chambers everyone. Christmas came early for me this year, and my “Grey’s Anatomy” dreams have come true…lol. Ok, I can’t believe how incredibly nice he is! He’s the nicest celebrity I think I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). He thanked me for watching Grey’s Anatomy all these years, I’ve been watching since high school. And he’s one of the original cast members who’s still starring in it. He talked about the show and how they have 15 seasons now. I was wearing my music note earrings and he asked me if I was a singer and then asked for my info. I’m sorry, WHAT??? Who knows if I’ll hear anything back, but it was nice of him to ask. It’s rare that I get pics with celebrities, because I don’t want to bother them, and plus I’m working. But he was so sweet and offered, so like I could say no. Maybe my songs will be in a future Grey’s Anatomy episode. Just kidding, I’m really dreaming at this point…lol. It was a real treat to have him on though. ????? @officialjustinchambers @greysabc #JustinChambers #GreysAnatomy #AlexKarev #AirplaneLightingIsTheWorst #FlightAttendant #RecordingArtist #IndieArtist #Travel #Adventure #Work #NewMusic #IndependentArtist #MerryChristmas #HappyHolidays
