Downtime

Apologies for the downtime we had over the weekend. WE moved servers for the final time this year. It took longer, because the hosting company always asks me to confirm that i wanted to move and when it had to be done, i was also at work over the weekend, so i couldn’t change the name-servers till i got back, and then they had to propagate.

We won’t be moving again for awhile, it hurts my head too much and is a big effort. But thank you for you patience. and we love you.

Maui Film Festival – video

We have video from the Maui Film Festival! :D I edited it all together to make just one clip but it includes:
- Justin’s small intro at the screening of “The Happiest Man Alive”
- sit down interview (talks about a range of topics such as the festival, the short film and how it came about, what Justin plans on doing with his kids in Maui, returning to work in 3 weeks for the next season of Grey’s Anatomy)
- Director Andrew Goodman saying what Justin brought to his short film.

Maui Film Festival – mention/interview quotes

A mention of Justin and also a brief interview with him by Marc Malkin at E! during the Maui Film Festival.

Byrd hit the screening of Norman at the Celestial Cinema outdoor theater with the movie’s director Jonathan Segal. Earlier, they enjoyed dinner at Gannon’s restaurant with a group that included Zac Efron, director Kenny Ortega and Justin Chambers, who was in town for the premiere of director Andrew Goodman’s short, The Happiest Man Alive.

Katherine Heigl may be gone from Grey’s Anatomy, but she’s certainly not forgotten.

“I miss her all the time,” Justin Chambers told me at the Maui Film Festival. “She’s such a great actor. She’s so fun to work off of. I miss working with her.”

But that doesn’t mean, we’ve heard the last of their onscreen romance…

As fans of the show know, Alex (Chambers) called out for Izzie (Heigl) when he was shot in the abdomen during the season finale.

“I think that’s a couple on television that people will always remember,” Chambers said. “There’s not much Alex without her. I think he’ll be mourning Izzie for the next two seasons.”

Chambers also defended Heigl against her critics. “She admits that she has a mouth on her, but she’s got a heart much bigger than her mouth,” he said. “It’s so unfair because I think people have taken her the wrong way. She’s actually a good person. She’s very funny and very kind.”

Chambers was in Maui for the premiere of The Happiest Man Alive, a short in which he stars as a not-so-happy office worker. He signed onto the project after meeting director Andrew Goodman at the film fest last year. “Andrew was talking about how he wanted to make a short and I said, ‘Dude, I’ll make a short with you,’” Chambers said. “And we shook hands and we made it.”

‘The Happiest Man Alive’ Premiere – Maui FF

We are lucky. Justin showed up at the premiere of his short film ‘The Happiest Man Alive’ at the 2010 Maui Film Festival. The man posing with Justin in the portrait pics is the director of the short, Andrew Goodman. Also in the pics: the screenwriters of the short Aaron and Jordan Kandell, Maui Film Festival director Barry Rivers and actor Zac Efron.

I’m going to try and find video of Justin introducing the film but no promises. For now enjoy the pics. He really loves that hat, doesn’t he?
